My dear friends,
The Temple at Ghatagaon Tarini, 200 kms from Bhubeneswar in Orissa’s Keonjhar’s District with its presiding deity Goddess Maa Taruni Thakurani attracts large number of devotees.

Devotees in neighboring states Andhra Pradesh, West Bengal and Jharkhand, Bihar, Chhattisgarh and far off places in Maharashtra
, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan also send their offerings of coconuts & fruits through a network of drivers plying buses and trucks.

Those offerings wrapped up in a piece of red cloth from devotees and are being collected free of cost and being delivered to the temple.

This entire process of collecting the coconuts & fruits run on faith & free of cost and those offering courier services from various states deliver it to the drivers plying on the highway to Ghatagaon.

It seems when the drivers of those trucks and buses who refused to oblige the offer to carry the offerings to temple met with accidents and this led to voluntary services to the temple.

On an average, over 20,000 coconuts reach the temple for offering before the presiding deity Maa Tarini Thakurani every day through this amazing network.

If anyone waves a coconut wrapped in a piece of red cloth anywhere in the state to any vehicle, it's certain that the vehicle stops to pick it up to take to the Tarini temple.

If the bus is heading for Keonjhar, it is well and good. And if not, the driver hands over the coconuts to buses driving towards Ghatagaon.

Thousands of Hindus involve themselves in to this noble venture to collect temple’s offering and deliver the same in time.

The sale proceeds of those broken coconuts and fruits offerings being used later to construct a Rest Room for the Visitors, V.I.P hall; Market Complex and a Kalyana Mantap.

Approximately Rs.30 lakhs from the sale of coconuts per annum and so for the temple authorities have deposited more than Rs.5 Crores in State Bank of
India
, Bank of India and Co-operative Banks and used funds to construct the above facilities to pilgrims.

As Goddess Maa Taruni has become very famous there, numbers of such small temples have come up throughout the state so for (nearly 100 temples) and those offerings from these small temples goes direct to Ghatagaon Main temple.

There are many collection boxes in the borders adjoining Orissa and those offerings getting accumulated being collected and sent through this unique courier service of Faith to the main temple.

The Main temple now plans to start an Ayurvedic Medical Collage in the suburbs.

This temple strictly adheres to the rituals in the shrine and then comes to the amenities for the visitors, infrastructure development and charity.
