My dear friends,
The political acts of survival getting hotter and hotter as the D – Day is nearing.
With the fate of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's government hanging in balance over the India-US civil nuclear deal, the Washington establishment is keeping its fingers crossed and lips sealed before Tuesday's trust vote.
Our Congress led UPA vying each and every single Member to support them and those who supports will have their bounty with plum posts of ministerial berth at the cabinet as well as their coffers filled for generations to enjoy.
The fate of the UPA Government is still in the hands of a few small-time parties and individual MPs amid allegations of horse trading taking place through all sources.
Vested interests from Big business houses and corporate doing their bit to let the UPA to survive & win the vote of confidence
The Currency notes bearing mighty Mahatma Gandhi’s picture laughing all the way in to the coffers of fence sitters and make them smile for ever.
Look at the deals and do not get upset, they are our rulers & can play as they like.
Dinner party diplomacy prevails everywhere.
Our five Jharkhand Mukti Morcha MPs were reportedly settling for Rs 18 crore each plus its chief Shibu Soren claimed to have got an assurance of being re-inducted into the Cabinet getting Coal portfolio and a berth for one of his MPs as Minister of State.
Giving a coal minister berth to Soren at the moment would certainly give the Bharatiya Janata Party credible ammo against the UPA of horse trading, something with the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh would not want, according to reliable sources.
The Mizo National Front’s single parliamentarian may now be rethinking that the Rs 2..crore he...missed his bounty and regrets his fate may be he will try his level best.
Mr.Pawar also played his part in trying to influence his old friend and Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray over the nuclear deal but failed in his attempt.
As an appeasement gesture, the government announced it would name Lucknow airport after RLD chief Ajit Singh's father, the late Charan Singh, still RLD refused to budge & decided to Vote against UPA.
JD-S Leader D.Kumaraswamy announced just now that his party Members will vote against UPA.
If at all Congress led UPA had the confidence to win the vote of confidence, it would not have stooped to this level but for the magical number shortage & indulge in horse trading till the last minute.
With worries on how to make up for the numbers, the Congress led UPA government brinks as well as opposition parties guessing.
SOS message is clear and loud.
Clearly the message for the masses is certain, for the moment, no one is thinking beyond the trust vote—for, on its outcome will depend the future of not just the political parties but also of major political leaders.
What a mockery of democracy?
Do we need such a Government?
Why not Congress has the guts to resign and face the fresh mandate?
Why it needs alliances with so many opportunistic political parties whose leaders having the criminal background?

Dear Subbu,
It is very interesting and right question you have posed in this blog.what you have asked is in the mind of every citizen with national interest who is confused with this development and future of our nation.
I think congress made a blunder in carrying the relations with left too far ( when Left was dictating terms all thse four years ) and our PM was only taking orders from UPA president. Now they know inflation , petrol price and other issues are likeky to bring defeat to the party in the coming elections - nuclear issue is a better issue to face the nation if the Govt and Congress leaders wanted to take a calculated risk.
According to me ( I can be wrong ) it is the mis communication with BJP the other national party which has brought India to this stage.Sonia should have come closer to Advani when he made his attempts recently instead of old rhetoric of communalism.BJP and Congress has more in common and in the national interest if they forge an alliance ( after the trust vote ) they can defeat the rest of the re allignment that is taking place now.
Eternal incurable optimistic I am - some thing tells me some good will come out for the nation at the end of all this drama.Situation will demand it.
Keep your fingers crossed.
Ravi.

My dear Yashbhai,
Thanks for the kind visits & observations and it is paining to see why Congress party is taking these third rated politics to woo the M.P's in their favour.
When they wanted to give a clean government why do they allow criminals in their ministry? why they want to accommadate outlaws in to the cabinet in lieu of their support?
Let Dr.Manmohan Singh uses his political acumanship and clear these elements as well as amend the resoultions before signing the agreement there by save our nations rights to self dependancy.
It is the total mismanagement of the UPA on handling sensitive issues and their alliance partners frequent threats spoils the entire issues.
Let the Congress resign and face the electorate on its own by showing their credentials and policies clear cut and not hanging on these oppertunists who dictate their own terms for governance.
We need a stable government at any stage.

Subbu Bhaiya,
It's sad and shocking...I dont like politics but at this issue I am with Manmohan Singh Ji...Because he is a man of vision and I believe in his saying that this deal will be in nation's interest..BJP whichis opposing this deal might have been in same position had it been in power...now they are opposing it just to oppose and leftist are opposing because the second aprty is USA...had it been china or Russia, they would have been supporting the deal...I feel it is BJP and left who brought country to this stage of uncertainty...When they can unite for perks why cant they unite for nation's interest........So I sincrely wish and will be praying for Manmohan singh to stay and get the deal through

You are right my dear Sivaramsir,
It is the unholy alliances and pressure tactics by all those corrupt politicians spoils the good governance.
We have no doubts about our emmineient Prime Minister & economist Dr.Man Mohan Singh and the whole problem is the coterie of power mongers who controlled him and prevented him taking steps to correct the systems as well as transperent governance.
The way last election results ended up the bargains by regional parties like DMK, PMK, RJD, LOKDAL Paswan, NCP and others plucked away plum ministerial posts and enjoyed its power & enriched themselves is a well known open secret to every citizen.
How do we pay back them is only when every citizen cast their votes in favour of those candidates who has no criminal back ground, known for their integrity , honesty and trustworthiness irrespective of party affliations only can save our country.
Thanks for the kind visits and concerns.

Subbu Sir
The whole political drama is sickening. For 4 years Manmohan singh was at mercy of Left and south parties. Why cant he go to public and asks for fresh mandate now instead of bribing and be at the mercy of individuals? He could have promised more reforms and be honest with the people instead of doing all this . LK Advani must be shocked also as Mayavati is going to be the winner eventually not BJP!Let us see
Thanks
Sivaram

My dear D.Sampathsir,
Thanks for the kind observations and concerns for the nation.
It is our fate & nations bad times that none of the parties are caring about issues important to Nations welfare.
Where as every party wants to squezze the common citizens and take them for a ride.
When will this end & how we are going to teach them the lessons...God only can Save.
Shame on democracy and sad to see such political ploys.
